The Board of Directors of CEOWORLD magazine announce the appointment of its newest External Advisory Board (EAB) Member, Lance Mortlock, Ernst & Young Canada Managing Partner, Energy, who officially joined the board in November.

As the managing partner for the energy market segment, Lance leads EY Canada’s oil and gas, power and utilities and mining sectors across Canada. As a strategy practitioner working with the C-suite, Lance has provided consulting services on more than 150 projects to over 60 clients in 11 countries. He brings a broad set of strategic skills and experiences, helping clients solve some of their most complex strategic problems.

Lance authored Disaster Proof: Scenario Planning for Post Pandemic Future, exploring how scenario planning can help organizations be more resilient, building shock absorbers at a time of great uncertainty and drastic change.

Lance has joined the board as an “independent” member. Aside from Prof. Dr. Amarendra Bhushan Dhiraj, CEO and Editorial Director, all CEOWORLD magazine’s External Advisory Board (EAB) members are independent. In accepting the appointment, Lance Mortlock said, “There has never been a more challenging, but also exciting time in business. I’m delighted to volunteer my experience and insights to the team at CEOWORLD magazine to help guide valuable thought leadership that drives change and impact.”

In tandem with the current External Advisory Board (EAB) members, the new member will help position the CEOWORLD magazine for the future and serve readers by identifying key industry trends, developments, and insights in the field of global business, finance, and economy.

Each of our External Advisory Board members provides expert advice on content, attracts new authors from academic and industry experts, and encourages manuscripts for peer review. Board members are typically experts or key opinion leaders in their field. They include CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, senior management executives, business leaders, high-net-worth individuals, and industry experts with diverse backgrounds and expertise.

External Advisory Board members are also involved in:

  • Review all submitted manuscripts;
  • Help protect the quality of the magazine’s content;
  • Suggest, advise and contribute to the magazine’s policies and scope;
  • Identify topics that are of importance to readers;
  • Identify topics for and act as guest editor of special issues;
  • Contribute reviews, opinions, and editorials;
  • Attract new authors and submissions;
  • Promote the magazine to their colleagues and (academic) peers;
  • Recommend new Editorial Advisory Board members;
  • Provide feedback about the magazine’s performance and growth.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lance Mortlock to the External Advisory Board (EAB),” said Prof. Dr. Amarendra Bhushan Dhiraj, Chief Executive Officer and Editorial Director of CEOWORLD magazine. “Mr. Mortlock’s many years of experience and expertise will strengthen CEOWORLD magazine’s mission and goals.”
